Research Interests

I am broadly interested in statistics, algorithms and their application to problems in genetics and genomics. Below a few ongoing and current projects of interest are listed. If you have some joint interests which you would like to pursue together, please drop me a note.
  • Statistical and Human genetics - Current topics of interest include methods for GWAS, heritability, genetic interactions (epistasis), embryo selection, and selection coefficient estimation.
  • Comparative and functional Genomics - Genomic constraint estimation, function of regulatory elements, co-evolution (phylogenetic profiling), single-cell RNA-seq analysis.
  • Applied Statistics and Machine Learning - Low rank and sparse signal representation, multiple hypothesis, correction for biased sampling, statistical properties of random high-dimensional vectors.
